In the U.S. and Australia, people may use the common name &#8220;abalone&#8221; shell. The most beautiful &amp; magnificent paua are found off the New Zealand coasts. Paua come from three large edible snails Family Haliotidae and Genus <em>Haliotis<\/em>. They are found in the shallower waters (1-10 m) in rocky coastlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paua, <em>Haliotis iris<\/em>, Blackfoot Paua. Queen Paua, <em>Haliotis australis<\/em>, Silver Paua, Yellow Foot Paua, Hihiwa and Karariwha.
