- Insertion: knee joint capsule.
Function.
- Concentric action: tense and pull knee joint capsule proximally.
- Reverse mover action:
- Eccentric action: controls/restrains/decelerates distal movement of knee joint capsule.
- Isometric action: stabilization of the knee.
- Innervation: femoral nerve.
- Arterial supply: deep femoral artery.
