Structure.

  • Forms the side and roof of cranial cavity.
  • Inner surface is “rough” with “terrain” as attachment sites for vessels (of duramatter) and the brain’s superficial membrane.
  • Forms part of the coronal, squamous, and lambdoid sutures.
