- Insertion: median raphe in male and vaginal wall in female.
Function.
- Concentric action: accessory sphincter of urethra.
- Isometric action:
- Innervation: perineal branch of the pudendal nerve of sacral plexus.
- Arterial supply: males, bulbourethral artery; female, internal pudendal artery from the internaliliac artery.
