- Origin: perineal body.
- Insertion: blends with partner on other side anterior to urethra.
Function.
- Concentric action: accessory sphincter of urethra; aids in closing vagina.
- Isometric action:
- Innervation: perineal branch of the pudendal nerve of sacral plexus.
- Arterial supply: perineal branch of pudendal artery.
