    • Origin: the mastoid area of the temporal bone.
    • Insertion: ponticulus (ridge) of eminentia conchae.

  • Concentric action: brings/draws the ear anteriorly (auricularis anterior); elevates ear (auricularis superior); brings/draws ear posteriorly (auricularis posterior).
